Performance “The foul-mouthed person” by troupe’s actor Semi Henrik Haapala will take place on the Small Stage of The National Theatre on the 19th of February at 19.00

This performance is the actory initiative of invited from Finland artist Semi Henrik Haapala, who is already known to the citizens of Petrozavodsk as director and dancer of dancing show “Ronda de Liberdade” – “Circle of Freedom”, which took place in the festival “Carelian faces-2005”. At that time original mix of afro-Brazilian dance-fight capoeira and contact improvisation received public ovation.

New Semi Henrik Haapala’s one-man show “The foul-mouthed person” is devoted to wit people and romantic girls (sic!). The performance consists of short tales, based on popular Finnish rock-, reggae-, pop- melodies, which are about love, death and even flowers.

All over the world the most “overt” form of rock-concert is regarded one man with a guitar on a stage. Nevertheless, in the performance of Semi Haapala there even will be no guitar – this is even more “unprotected” form of expressing oneself. So what will remain? There are word, gesture, facial gesture, feeling – because an actor’s body is his instrument.

Semi Henrik Haapala has been working in The National Theatre since the beginning of season 2009/2010. You may see him in the roles of novgorodskii merchant Peresvet in a rock-opera “Bjarmia”, judge in the comedy “Liperiada”, local citizen in a tragic comedy “Hero”.
